Given the pressing need to address social injustice towards minorities, namely POC and people of African descendant, this event will also cover Adobe's adjustments as a company for a more inclusive approach in community management.


Adobe has been through major business shifts in the past years, moving from an offline software company to a cloud-based service provider — this was a major change of direction for Adobe when it comes to creating, engaging and managing communities.

Our first speaker, Liz Schmidt (Senior Community Manager @ Adobe), will talk about the company’s community journey.

Liz will be sharing the Creative Cloud Community team’s journey over the last 10 years. You’ll hear about how Adobe transformed its programs to fulfil the needs of the user base and the lessons the team learned.

Community Managers had a much different role 10 years ago. We are more involved in strategy and encouraged to try out ideas pushing businesses’ corporate goals. This is why Adobe’s programs have shifted to focusing on leadership in communities. You will learn how the company leveraged those relationships and how it scaled efforts.

The second speaker will be Gus Martin (Content & Community Manager @ Adobe), who will share learnings from Adobe Live and its related community experiences. By putting community first, he will share how their team has partnered with creatives to develop scalable digital experiences that resonate with customers in meaningful ways.
