About this event

What makes a community experience truly memorable? Is it the activity itself, the people you meet, or the feeling you take away from it? 🐶💻

The Digital Nomad CMX Community is excited to host Courtney Ko, COO at AI Valley, for a fun and insightful session:

“From Hackathons to Dogathons: Designing Community Experiences People Actually Remember.”

From hackathons and creative challenges to dogathons and everything in between, community experiences can take many forms. But the best ones have something in common: they give people a reason to show up, participate, connect, and leave with a story to tell.

Courtney will share lessons from designing community experiences that go beyond simply getting people in the room. We’ll explore what makes an experience engaging, how to create moments people actually remember, and how community builders can turn even simple ideas into meaningful connections.

Whether you’re building an online community, organizing events, or looking for fresh ways to bring your members together, join us for an hour of ideas, stories, and inspiration — followed by an optional 30-minute breakout-room networking session to meet and connect with fellow community builders. 🌎✨

📅 23 September 2026

⏰ One live session: 3 PM San Francisco · 11 PM Lagos · 8 AM Sydney (24 Sep)

🕐 1-hour talk + optional 30-minute breakout networking
