Communities have the power to meaningfully change the world. People may come to communities for the product support or swag, but they stay because of the positive effect they have on their lives. How can we, as community builders, be more intentional about how our communities impact our members and play a role in making the world just a little bit better? Join your fellow Seattle-area community builders for a collaborative workshop where we'll explore how work can have positive social impact at both the micro and macro level, and discuss strategies for realizing the potential all our communities have (yes, including yours!) for being a catalyst for change. We’ll focus on sharing ideas and best practices in a supportive and constructive way, and you’ll leave the session with strategies you can apply right away. The event will be in the ground-floor lounge of the Bay Vista Building in Belltown, off the main lobby. If you arrive after 6:30 the front doors may (or may not) be locked. If you need help getting in, text 253-431-9374. The site is close to public transit, there's plenty of street parking, and an on-site parking garage that you may or may not have to pay for (depends if anyone's manning the booth when you come in).
