Blockchain technology has the potential to disrupt institutions, economics, and even social structures if it finds its "killer app." But what many analysts and technologists are missing right now is the importance of community in building on blockchain technology. For more networks to be built and be truly valuable, people need a stronger incentive to come together and use the blockchain. This will require the efforts of strong community leaders.

In this panel discussion, we will dive quickly into what opportunities blockchain presents for community builders, how to build trust beyond and inside a network, how to build a community around your blockchain project and more.

Who: Our meetup is for those who gather people for a living, whether online or offline, for a for-profit, public sector, or non-profit company. Seattle Community Builders welcomes everyone from all backgrounds, and we do not tolerate discrimination or bullying of any kind.

Where: Industrious Seattle, 2033 6th Ave. Floor 6 in downtown Seattle

Accessibility information:

- The office at Industrious is on the 6th floor of an office building.

- The office building has elevators up to the 6th floor and has handicap-accessible doors with push button entrance on them. They can be a bit tricky though, so if you need any assistance or think you might, please reach out to carrie@gathercommunityconsulting.com and we will make sure that someone is at the ready to assist you upon your arrival.

- Once on the 6th floor, everything is flat and on one floor, with an open doorway entrance into the meetup area. We will ensure that signage is clear.

- The bathrooms are *not* gender neutral, but you are welcome to use either restroom.
