Shana is a black, queer womxn who was (currently transitioning jobs) the Head of Community for HER App, the largest community and dating app for LGBTQ+ womxn and queer people.
Shana is also the co-host for the podcast “Bad Queers” - if you’ve felt like you came out of the closet and got placed in a box, welcome to the Bad Queers Club. Subscribe and leave a review on all places you listen to podcasts.
With a community of over 5 million users world wide on HER, Shana has worked from the ground up to launch and grow a community that supports the wants and needs for this rainbow filled group. Online communities, in person events, social media, content creation, email marketing and customer support are just scratching the surface of skills utilized on a day to day basis. Shana has had the opportunity to speak on multiple panels (as panelist and moderator), podcasts, private events and stages as both a speaker and keynote speaker. In her free time, you will find Shana running around a sports field, exploring new restaurants or getting tickets to the latest Beyoncé concert.
Previously a Music Therapist for 5 years and taking those skills to the tech world.
