Francisco Cruz-Mendoza is a founding team member of Startup Grind, Guinness World Record holder and recent UC Davis Economics graduate.
In 2012 he was the first employee at Startup Grind where he managed the global community. He was responsible for implementing programs and practices that lead chapter growth from 12 to 220 cities around the world impacting over 2 million entrepreneurs. Some of the early tools he helped develop spun out into what is now Bevy.

Shana is a black, queer womxn who was (currently transitioning jobs) the Head of Community for HER App, the largest community and dating app for LGBTQ+ womxn and queer people.
Shana is also the co-host for the podcast “Bad Queers” - if you’ve felt like you came out of the closet and got placed in a box, welcome to the Bad Queers Club. Subscribe and leave a review on all places you listen to podcasts.
With a community of over 5 million users world wide on HER, Shana has worked from the ground up to launch and grow a community that supports the wants and needs for this rainbow filled group. Online communities, in person events, social media, content creation, email marketing and customer support are just scratching the surface of skills utilized on a day to day basis. Shana has had the opportunity to speak on multiple panels (as panelist and moderator), podcasts, private events and stages as both a speaker and keynote speaker. In her free time, you will find Shana running around a sports field, exploring new restaurants or getting tickets to the latest Beyoncé concert.
Previously a Music Therapist for 5 years and taking those skills to the tech world.

Brent works as the Community Engagement Lead at 0x, a technology company building an open protocol to enable the P2P exchange of assets on the Ethereum blockchain. Prior to joining 0x, he worked in the airline industry for over 13 years managing a variety of functions including Marketing, Customer Experience, and Project Management. During this time he was also a volunteer Community Ambassador for 0x. Learn more about Brent's background and read his introduction to the 0x community.
Ryan is currently a Community Manager at AppDynamics where he is growing a support and ideation community. He began his career as the first employee at a small startup called Planwise, where he was first introduced to community management. He then converted his passionate participation as a community member of the SwiftKey app into a role with the third-party keyboard company where he became the community's biggest advocate internally.
While there, he was responsible for collecting feedback on early releases (beta programs), User-to-User Support, managing a team of global moderators and ensuring that community issues and feature requests were always represented in product conversations. Ryan is currently based in San Francisco.
