In-person event

About this event

Growing your community can be tricky business. At the next CMX Connect London event, we want you to get inspired by companies and experts that have already scaled their thriving communities, and learn how they continue to sustain their success.

Join the discussion with the CMX Connect London team, Startup Grind's Global Community Evangelist, Phin Mpofu & Andrew Griffiths, Chief Community Enthusiast at LocalX!

Our guest speakers:

Phin Mpofu is Startup Grind's Global Community Evangelist and helps oversee their community of over 600 Chapters in 125 countries. In his 5 and a half years with Startup Grind, Phin has personally launched 4 of Startup Grind's Chapters in 4 different cities. He believes the key to scaling communities is understanding the individuals motivations to be a part of the community and whether those motivations align with the organisation's mission and values.

Andrew Griffiths is part of the LocalX team, who accidently started a global networking movement for fun – #LinkedInLocal. In the two years that LocalX led the LinkedInLocal community, it grew exponentially from the first event in Coffs Harbour Australia, to events in 90+ countries, in 900+ towns and cities, with over 2,000 hosts worldwide. All of this was with zero marketing budget and entirely volunteer-led from the top-down. Andrew and the LocalX team now share their experiences of building purpose-driven communities with organisations who want to grow a community that can thrive online and offline.
