Felix Koch, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of WITHIN, a company dedicated to radically improving employee mental health by building connections at work, will be giving a presentation on his own personal mental health journey as well as discussing the factors influencing mental health (at work and beyond), understanding what is in your control and what isn’t, the importance of prevention, the role of relationships and social connections at work, and what can you do to support your mental health if your job has been put at risk.

This will be followed by another presentation, by Jenn Junod, a Developer Advocate for Aiven and host of Teach Jenn Tech and Sh!t You Don't Want to Talk About podcast. This presentation will provide practical strategies and tips for discussing mental health and neurodiversity in a professional setting. Attendees will learn about the importance of self-advocacy and disclosure, legal protections and accommodations available for individuals with mental health conditions and neurodivergent traits, and how to navigate conversations with colleagues and managers. Additionally, Jenn will discuss how promoting mental health and neurodiversity in the workplace can benefit individuals and organizations. By the end of this talk, attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to approach these sensitive topics in the workplace and with practical tools for creating a more inclusive workplace culture.
