For our March 10, 2021 Office Hours, our topic will be "How to Grow Your Communities"
1. What are your strategies for growing your online community?
2. For those "local groups" who moved from in-person meetups to virtual events -- How does this affect the "local" flavor of in-person meetups when the event is now virtual? Since virtual means anyone can join the meetup and not just local attendees. For example, will the virtual Madrid Wine Meetup group now accept attendees from everyone around the world? Or, just those based in Madrid? What are the pros/cons?
Community Manager @Tali Vasilevsky suggested this topic as she encountered these challenges in the Meetup Chapters she was managing. As one of our panelists, Tali will discuss her strategies and welcomes others to share their best practices. We also invited our friend Eli, @Elijah van der Giessen to share his experiences in growing Netsquared, a global community program at TechSoup.
