About this event

Nick O’Brien has been on a personal and professional mission to connect people to people, people to place, and people to potential.

He has created dozens of communities from scratch, one relationship at a time, leveraging existing assets to bring creativity, engagement, and impact to whatever those communities are focused on.

During this time, Nick has accumulated unique experiences which he translates into easy-to-understand theories about connection and engagement, and effective methodologies for building meaningful and purposeful communities.

Nick will share some stories and lessons learned about community leadership.

Some questions Nick will address:

- What are some common misconceptions people have about community building and human connection?

- What are the core principles of engagement and participation and how do you maintain these over time?

- How do you build trust and foster genuine connections within a new community?

- How do you measure the success of a community-building initiative, in the short- and long-term?

- How do you adapt your approach when building different types of communities?

- How has your approach to community building evolved and what do you see as the next frontier?

If you have questions for Nick, submit your questions in advance to the event host (john@event-strategy.net).
