Hello, everyone!

For those of you who were part of the Chicago Chapter of CMX Community, I'm trying to bring it back! To everyone who is joining for the first time, welcome!

My name is Charlie Buege and I've been a community leader for about two and a half years now. A former Director of IT/Senior DevOps Engineer, my life changed drastically at the start of 2024. Now, I'm helping to run the community, Fuel User Group, for cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks.

Part of my growth around community was decided that I wanted to try to get a Chicago chapter going for CMX Community. Now, to be upfront, I'm located in Wheaton, so this is more of a Chicago AREA chapter for the time being and I wanted to take this brief moment to introduce myself.

This first event, a virtual one, is going to be a chance for me to see how many members are out there, how many of you are still active and the accounts are live, and to see if you all are interested in getting something going.

We're going to just talk about community, what it means to be a leader, and discuss ideas for future events. I'm open to any and all ideas as well as anyone else who would like to be a co-chapter leader with me. Please bring any ideas you have with!
