About this event
🌊 Join us as we dive in with Jacob Gross for our second Community Manager Session. He and Derek Andersen will discuss how Slack developed its robust community chapter program.
Jacob leads community programs at Slack, which includes events, user groups, an online forum, and a Slack workspace. Jacob has been at Slack for the last 2.5 years and has enjoyed every minute of it! Prior to Slack, Jacob worked at a couple startups, also working in Community, and prior to that, he spent some time working in academia. Jacob is originally from Los Angeles but has been residing in Chicago for almost a decade. Jacob's favorite Slack feature (well, one of them at least!) is Slack canvas; so many possibilities with this powerful tool!
Join Derek as he and Jacob explore:
Building your chapter program on solid ground
Learning tactics to keep your members excited and involved
Expanding your chapters while maintaining a close-knit community feel
Understanding how to measure the real impact of your programs
Expect practical tips, heartwarming stories, and a lively Q&A. Don't miss this chance to elevate your community game!
