We're launching CMX Series in Berlin!
- What does a community manager do?
- What does community mean to businesses?
- How can I meet other community managers out there?
- What are community management best practices?
If you've ever asked yourself one of these questions, our Series events will give you answers and inspiration.
For our launch event, we're gathering an expert panel to show that Community encompasses many different realities.
- Who is your business' community and how important is the role of Community in your company's structure?
- How do you strategically engage with your users, your customers, your stakeholders?
- What are the approach, the tools, the culture you can build to do so?
We'll start exploring these questions and open on a conversation with the participants.

Logan Ouellette is a communications & community specialist originally from Ottawa, Canada. Over the past three years he has navigated the Berlin startup scene through various community roles, from Tech Open Air to Zalando Technology.
Keir currently helps to run Community and Social at Native Instruments, a leading music-tech company providing cutting-edge software and hardware for computer-based audio production and DJing.
With nearly 15 years in the professional Community and Social space, Keir's experience also covers the video game industry at Eidos, SCi and Square Enix for whom he grew and developed communities around multi-million selling franchises such as Tomb Raider and Batman: Arkham Aslyum and helped establish a community presence in development studios across four territories.
With a direct emphasis on supporting the user externally and representing the user internally, Keir's approach to Community puts the user first and corporate palaver second. At present he's helping Native Instruments to recruit and develop a growing team responsible for strengthening the focus on Community. Having worked in established mid-sized companies for many years, Keir's expertise also lies in integrating and establishing Community with existing departments and work flows.
David Spinks is the Founder of CMX, the hub for the community industry. Forever fascinated by how technology can bring people together, he's been studying and building online communities since he was 13 years old. Before founding CMX, Spinks cofounded Feast (acquired) and BlogDash, has built community for Zaarly, LeWeb, and Udemy, and has been consulted by hundreds of leading startups and brands on their community strategy. With the CMX team, he spends every day working to study and advance the community industry, and to give community professionals the opportunity to thrive. He's also really good at growing hair.
