About this event

Whether you're already managing a community or in the exciting process of launching one - your community needs to be active to survive. Engagement is the key for long term activity in your community.

In this session you will learn about:

  • different types of engagement in online communities,
  • using those types to your community’s benefit,
  • mistakes to avoid,
  • examples for other methods and types of engagement which have already proven to work well in the past.

Bring your questions, examples, and ideas for this 90 minute session!

Your session host:

Denise Henkel has 9 years of experience in professional community management. She'll share her success stories and failures from managing communities in online gaming (Lord of the Rings Online), customer support & beta-testing (Telefonica Digital), and as of recently adult dating (

We would like you to consider a small donation of 3 - 7 Euro to further enable us providing vivid exchanges like this and contribute to growing and empowering the community management network in Germany. Thank you!

Please note: Participation is limited to 15 attendees, so please be fair and only sign up to this event if you are certain that you will be able to show up. Many thanks from the organisers and other attendees :)
