Communities are the heartbeat of change. They bring people together, amplify voices, and create the support systems necessary for real, lasting impact. As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, we’re focusing on women who are not just part of communities but have actively built and led them to accelerate action and drive global change.
This event is a celebration of women who have created and nurtured impactful communities, both personally and professionally. These are women who have taken bold steps to build spaces that empower others, foster innovation, and address real-world challenges, whether in tech, social impact, business, or beyond.
The theme for International Women's Day 2025 is "Accelerate Action", and there’s no better way to highlight this than through the stories of women who have turned ideas into thriving community initiatives, nurtured ecosystems of change, and made a tangible difference in the lives of others.
From creating safe spaces for women in tech to leading global movements that empower businesses and individuals, these women have harnessed the power of community-building to create change that extends beyond borders.
For this conversation, we’ve intentionally sourced women who have played transformative roles in leading and managing communities at both local and global levels, speaking of Omotola Omotayo, Oluwabamikemi Kayode and Precious Ezema. These are speakers who have built personal and corporate communities that accelerate action and change lives and career. They will share their personal journeys, the impact of the communities they've led, and the lessons they've learned from building, scaling, and sustaining them.
